Beauty wonders and horrors. Place to share your experience.
Is it just me, or every girl on this planet starts thinking about new swimming suits in the end of February? Anyway, my mind is programmed — when I think “new bikinis”, I run to the mirror and stare at my butt for a couple of minutes. I am standing there with highest possible degree of concentration on my face. What I’m thinking is: “Huh, so it didn’t go away! Ok! Now, did it get better or worse? Damn, that’s probably cause I was using the chocolate therapy the other day. But I had a reason. That was a good reason. What was he even thinking when he said that bull…” Oops, I’m tending to get away from the subject:)
Actually, it is a good thing that we start thinking about holidays and bikinis in the end of February. We have just enough time to fight those signs of cellulite. So you think models don’t have it on their….ummm…..butts? Yeah, they do! Having walked 30 miles-long runway during our careers doesn’t always help. But guess what? There are products that help a lot in the fight! We combine them with healthy food, plenty of water, fruits, vegetables, and exercises. AND we get RESULTS!
Here are best anti-cellulite products that I believe in!
(new version of Vichy Liposyne Body Contouring Cellulite Treatment)![]()
Vichy Lipometric is a new Liposyne by Vichy. The very popular company and headquarter in European market. It is also my personal choice. Combined with strong will, makes wonders.
The ad says:
Lipometric is a new body contouring cellulite treatment with the Vichy patented AdrenalyseTM complex, which helps stimulate the elimination of fatty deposits. Lipometric reduces skin dimpling, whilst visibly firming and smoothing the skin, with body contours appearing more defined in 4 weeks.
“The only thing that really works against cellulite (don’t forget your cardio training). My obnoxious orange peel skin was gone even before I finished the first bottle, and I keep repurchasing it since. The only thing that you absolutely must follow with this one is to put it on twice every single day. If you do not have the dedication to do this, you shouldn’t even bother.”
“This product has a jucky, green color, it stinks and you have to wash your hands after applying it, or they will be sticky and dried-out. After using it for two months my skin appeared a lot firmer, but I still could see the signs of cellulite.”
“I love Vichy for its effect on my skin. I was using Liposyne to keep my shape under control and I have switched to Lipometric. It worked just as well for me. And I can deal with scent or anything else as long as product does what is promised.”
Revitol is one of the top choices among cellulite creams. It has safe but effective combination of such ingredients as caffeine, algae, and Retinol A that make skin firmer and help to fight cellulite. Has proven to be effective for some of my girls.
The ad says:
Revitol Cellulite Cream is a revolutionary scientific breakthrough for controlling unsightly cellulite and eliminating inches. Revitol Cellulite Cream permits you to spot reduce in those impossible problem areas. Eliminates cellulite dimples and inches, boosts muscle tone and sculpts your body; firms and tightens your thighs, legs and butt. Revitol is easy to apply and has no bad odor.
“The Revitol is thick, but is easy enough to apply and has an odd although not offensive smell. The benefits far outweigh the smell. Besides they are absorbed into my skin quickly and my trick is then to apply powder.”
“I have been working out a lot, so I really don’t know whether Revitol is a great anti-cellulite cream, or my exercises really work:) But, now I know that you can get rid of cellulite with proper attitude and motivation. I didn’t have much, but now it is gone! All of it!”
“Have 3 friends that swear this worked for them. I wasn’t able to see the results after I was using it a month and a half. Switched to Vichy Lipometric and liked it a lot better. I have been using Vichy for 3 weeks now and I think I see some really positive changes.”
Nivea is the cheapest and one of the most effective anti-cellulite products available. Weird, but true! I honestly didn’t think Nivea could help with cellulite problem, but it did. Sometimes, we should look for the right ingredients, not for the high price as a guarantee of product’s capability.
The ad says:
The latest innovation from scientists of Nivea laboratories. L-Carnitine is found naturally in the skin and supports the conversion of fat into energy. Nivea research has now made L-Carnitine available in a gel-cream. Nivea body Good-bye Cellulite, formulated with skin’s own L-Carnitine, helps reduce the appearance of cellulite. Noticeably firmer skin within 2 weeks.
“I bought the goodbye gel as well as the patches. This is not an over night cure, it does take a few weeks, but it REALLY works! When I was just using the gel, I was not getting the result I hoped for, but after combing patches twice a week, WOW!!! What a difference…I say try it, but don’t give up after a week, it takes a couple weeks to work, plus it smells lovely.”
“I have used countless anti-cellulite products, many of which were very costly and none produced results significant enough to talk about. This is the only product that I have used that I think warrants any type of recommendation and this one gets two thumbs up!”
“I am 20. But thanks to genetics, I’ve had cellulite on my butt since I was 14. I’m 5′ 10″, skinny and I work out 3-4 times a week. The rest of my body is toned, I just could never get rid of that stubborn cellulite! I’ve been using the patches 1-2 times a week in combination with the gel cream applied once or twice a day for two weeks now and I’d estimate I have about 80% less cellulite. It’s not 100% effective, but it clearly reduces the appearance and firms up you skin.”
“Its smells really nice and sinks into the skin really quickly without leaving any sticky residue. This gel seems to be a good value product. I am usually very skeptical about this kind of product and its claims but this does seem to work. It’s great for girls with minor to moderate problem areas. I have already put all my friends onto the stuff.”
Another anti-cellulite treatment that is worth a try. Many claim to have reduction of cellulite, nice fragrance and great texture. It is a very reasonably priced anti-cellulite program too. It looks like Neutrogena works best with minor cellulite and will not be very effective with 3rd and 4th stages.
What the ad says:
A patented daily retinol treatment. Clinically proven to reduce the appearance of cellulite within 8 weeks; Leave skin noticeably smoother, less dimpled. Neutrogena Anti-Cellulite Treatment visibly reduces the appearance of cellulite. Retinol, the purest form of Vitamin A, combined with Caffeine and Seaweed, works deep within the skin’s surface to improve skin elasticity and firmness and reduce the bumpy appearance. The oil-free cream-gel with its fresh, clean scent, absorbs quickly with no greasy after feel.
“It goes on light and takes about a minute to dry. I saw results after two weeks and I kept using it. I’ve seen a pretty good reduction in the appearance of cellulite. I like the fragrance and texture, and I think the quantity per container is generous.”
“I had much better results with Nivea anti-cellulite than with Neutrogena, so I am going back to Nivea.”
“I was using it for minor corrections before the swim suits show. I think I used it for about a week and a half, and it did a good job. But I had hardly visible signs of cellulite on my butt.”
We finally got to the priciest anti-cellulite program in our review. Dior Plasticity immediately tightens up the skin. The results were obvious for me. But I noticed that I don’t have any further improvements when I get to the second bottle.
Check out Christian Dior Plasticity Anti-Cellulite Corrective Gel online.
What the ad says:
Anti Cellulite Corrective Gel: the home cosmetic surgery “procedure”. Above and beyond a promise of effectiveness, PLASTICITY delivers results that become more impressive with every passing day.
Formulated to work both on the surface and in depth, this revolutionary treatment has a triple performance that can be seen with the naked eye in three stages. The ultimate aim: to lose the equivalent of one whole bottle of PLASTICITY!
“I used this stuff last Summer before going on holidays and it really does work! I don’t really have any cellulite (the one affliction I don’t suffer from) but it definitely made a difference to the skin on my thighs and bum - silky smooth and ‘taut’ looking it was!”
“I have to be honest, the main reason I purchased this was due to the fact that it was by Dior. As I rubbed it into my skin, I could feel a tingling sensation, but was not aware of any ‘instant improvement’. However, after having used this product for close on 7 weeks now, rubbing it into the skin twice a day, I can definitely say I have noticed a difference. Nothing major, but dimples are definitely reduced, there’s no doubt about that.”
“I have to change my diet and try again. I don’t see any results. No results what so ever. So, you can be sure not to rely on Plasticity alone. You have to eat healthy and exercise and probably you will get more luck.”
Dove is another company I usually don’t take seriously. But some of my girls swear by its anti-cellulite gel. So I think Dove Firming Gel Cream has won itself a place in this best anti-cellulite gels and lotions overview.
What the ad says:
Dove Intensive Cellulite Gel-cream has been specially developed to diminish the look of cellulite and dimpled skin. Dove Intensive Care Cellulite Gel-Cream contains Seaweed Extract, which is known for its firming effect and Elastin-Peptides, known to help improve skin tone and boost firmness.
“I swear by Dove Intensive Firming Gel Cream (Lotion doesn’t work as well) I’ve had very visible Cellulite from my mid teens and have tried loads claiming they can get rid of it.
Dove firming gel is the best I’ve come across, it does not remove cellulite (don’t think such a cream exists) but visibly reduces it, and you will notice the difference in a week.”
“It smells fresh and flowery, simple and pleasant. I was instantly surprised at how smooth it felt. I went on using this product for about 4-5 times a week for the next two weeks, and I definitely noticed that my skin’s condition had improved tremendously.”
“It smoothes in the skin quite easily but leaves a slight feeling of having a layer on your skin. This is very annoying on hot days or nights because it felt like the cream wasn’t absorbed and it made me sweat a lot where it had been applied. However, I will say that the extent to which it will absorb in a few minutes is enough that you can dress quite soon after. After 2 weeks of using this morning and night I saw no noticeable improvement in the appearance of my skin. It felt a little firmer, but not less lumpy when I pressed it; although it made a good moisturizer as my skin was VERY soft.”
Although, there is no anti-cellulite cream, gel or lotion that will work for everyone, these are the products that are useful for your skin and will lead you to the desired results. Working on your appearance is always rewarding. We just need to take those cute little butts off that chair, because we ain’t got that much time till summer:)

ok, I have tried Nivea and it did a pretty good job. I also wasn’t doing any sports at the time, so it was just a lotion that helped me with cellulite.
hehehe
P.S. Funny, I usually stare at the mirror forever too, thinking practically the same

This is great and sooo helpful! Thank you for this review. BTW, let’s all share what products worked best for us. It could be one of the best pages for references:)
I was using Dior Plasticity (soo costly), it was quite good. But when I went for a holiday I forgot to take it with me. So I was using my friend’s Neutrogena stuff. It didn’t cost as much as Dior and worked even better for me. My vote goes to Neutrogena!

I’ve recently discovered two things that literally do wonders - running. Forget about all those painful boring stuff you do in gym - no push-ups, no sit-ups, no pilates. 30 minutes running every day can solve lots of problems, including cellulite of course. I haven’t tried anything more effective.

I am using the L’oreal, which good on me, and yes the Dove does work great for me too. But the best to try ones is also to use a home made product,Moulinex coffee bones and mix that with any lotion.Leave it for abt 10mins to dry on the area’s and wash if off. miracle!

I used the Vichy Lipocure Anti-dimpling Serum and it works very much. It is a 2 week treatment and it did miracles for me. My cellulite is almost gone, and now I’ll buy the Lipometric to continue with the treatment.

Hi, Uzma! Your advice sounds really interesting. Does ”coffee bones” mean ”coffee beans”?
Thanks
