Beauty wonders and horrors. Place to share your experience.
I happen to know one young model. If there were a competition for ladies with permanent lack of luck, this girl would be going there for the first prize. Although some “lack of intelligence competition” would suit her even better. Do you imagine a person, who really believes in cutting the ends of her eyelashes, so they will grow up longer!? Ok, so you got an idea:)
I saw her at the casting the other day and thought I’d write down this brilliant thought of mine: “Some people should never use a lip plumper!” This girl looked like she was beaten up. Her lips were huge, red, irritated and looked really sore. But she looked quite happy. I came up to ask her what she was using, so I can post some Danger-Caution-post to my blog. She smiled with her lips shining bloody red and replied: “Venom Gloss! It really works!” (Oh, yeah. thank you. I can see that).
Here is my study of 7 most popular lip plumper brands that work. But what is more important is HOW they work and what effect (if any) they have on your lips.
Freeze lip plumper has a moisturizing non-irritating formula. It smoothes away fine lines and enhances the natural color of the lips. It contains Retinol. Feeze lip plumper has a great effect on your lip color– beautiful shade of fresh pink. It also doesn’t dry out your lips and doesn’t irritate them. Costs about $40.
Check out Freeze 24/7 Plump Lips Plumper & Gloss online. Make sure to check for special discounts and sales.
The ad says:
“Plump Lips by Freeze 24/7 is a revolutionary, multi-functional lip plumping lip gloss. Plump Lips plumps the lips and enhances lip color by increasing circulation on the lip surface, while moisturizing, soothing and smoothing lips. It provides immediate and long-term wrinkle reduction and creates a full and sensual look that lasts for hours. With daily use, mature lips appear more youthful and thin lips appear fuller.”
Girls say:
“It’s not the usual kind of plump lips where you’re not sure if they are indeed plumper, or it’s just an optical illusion. My lips were actually, very noticiable, luciously, plumper!! I recommend this product with every fiber of my being!!!”
“It’s tingly, but doesn’t burn. The only thing I don’t like about it is the smell. It smells like a medicinal cupcuke. But that’s a tiny complaint, I like this stuff a lot.”
“I’ve tried a couple Lip Plumper’s and this one is by far the best one yet. Some of them sting and some don’t even work, but this one has results immediately. Your lips look fuller and more colorful.”
“This is absolutely the best lip plumping product I have tried. It does tingle a little bit at first, but I didn’t find it uncomfortable. I use this all the time. It is one of my must have items!”
Too Faced Lip Injection contains the cinnamon, which is a common irritant to the skin. Lip plumper containing cinnamon oil is not for everyone. If you have sensitive skin you will most certainly hate this product. DO NOT put this product on a dry or sensitive lip or the sensation will move from irritation to pure pain. After using Too Faced Lip Injections you can see the obvious plumping effect, but it will not last long. Costs about $20.
The ad says:
“Too Faced Lip Injection is a lip plumping serum that gives long term results based on four of the most scientifically proven and advanced lip plumping technologies. Increase lip volume and plumpness permanently with continued use! This serum is to be used in the morning and evening along with your normal skin care routine.”
Girls say:
“God forbid you get this stuff in a cold sore, split lip, sun burnt lip or any other open mouth wound or you will want to slice your lips off. My lips BURNED, and although they got “pouty” the burning was a little too harsh for me to take. I was ready for a tingling sensation, but that much pain was too much.”
“Try and keep the gloss within your lip line or the skin around your lips will get red. It does tingle and make your lips warm, but it doesn’t hurt my lips I get an almost immediate effect.”
The Avon Plumping Lipcolor conditions and smoothes your lips. I think teenage girls would not like this product as much as a little older women. This product has a good texture, but doesn’t have as vivid plumping effect. It contains retinol. There is no “stinging” effect. It has SPF 15 sun block Costs about $5.
The ad says:
“2X the Retinol for smoother-than-ever lips. Retinol is formulated to minimize wrinkles and boost collagen so lips appear more full & lush. Now we’ve doubled the retinol for greater results.”
Girls say:
“I didn’t notice any change in the fullness of my lips. But I like the glossy finish of this formula.”
“I really enjoy wearing this lipstick. It feels nice and creamy, and it moisturizes well. It really does make your lips look a little fuller.”
“Best lip-plumping color I have ever used. No tingling sensation that can sting or irritate chapped lips (like mine), just softer, smoother, fuller lips. The color choices are great & last a really long time.”
DuWop Venom Gloss contains spicy concoction of cinnamon, wintergreen and ginger, that are very irritating ingredients. So, I find myself wondering if rubbing raw ginger on my lips would have the same effect?
Costs $18.
The ad says:
“Vibrant color is spiked with a wicked tingle and a delicious shine. Each of these lip plumping glosses are enriched with a secret blend of essential oils that leave lips soft, full, and extremely kissable.”
Girls say:
“I didn’t expect the gloss to sting as much as it did. It lasted quite a while, perhaps 45 minutes, before the sting wore off and my lips felt normal again.”
“It was disappointing when I realized that the plumping only lasted for about 20 minutes. The burning then subsided and my lips returned to their normal state. I don’t think the results that stay for just 20 minutes are worth that burning and pain.”
“This product is especially irritating in the corners of the mouth. Make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients because this thing has proven that it doesn’t work the same for everybody. The level of irritation is also very different.”
Stila’s ever-popular lip glaze is back in action with larger pens (twice the size of the original). And promises fuller-looking lips without the stinging sensation. Stila’s gloss is minty, vaguely tingly punch. It is not sticky. Costs around $24.
The ad says:
“Stila’s classic lip glaze infused with powerful plumping properties. The world-famous glaze now has active ingredients to help promote beautiful, full, healthy lips. Camellia oil, high in oleic acid making is a fabulous moisturizer; anti-oxidant rich vitamin E helps protect cells against environmental damage; and naturally occurring peptides, offer just the right amount of minty plump but without burning or stinging the lips.”
The girls say:
“It doesn’t visibly plump lips as claimed. When applying, it makes lips tingle and smells minty for hours. It is like having fresh breath. It must be very kissable too because my boyfriend loved it. The thing that makes it stand out for me is the fact that it is NOT sticky or gloppy, and it is just smooth and slides silkily on to the lips!”
“I love that they stuck with the click pen packaging they are so famous for. I find it to be a great lip gloss, but plumping effect is so minor!”
“It has perfect shades! The plumping is minimal but the product is excellent!”
Lip Fusion has a different formula than any other lip plumper. It contains collagen. It smells and tastes fabulous. Many claim that the plumping effect of Lip Fusion is not as intense as it claims. Costs $39.
The ad says:
“Tiny, dehydrated, marine collagen micro spheres are instantly absorbed by the lips, and seek out the body’s natural moisture. As soon as the spheres become rehydrated, they plump and hold onto the moisture they’ve collected, creating a mild “swelling” of the lip tissue. The result is fuller, smoother, perfectly plumped lips in seconds. Results can last for up to 48 hours.”
The girls say:
“So pretty! I love the slight cinnamon-like tingle, and it really does make lips look plumper and fuller. I am so happy with the colors, just the right balance between pigment and translucence.”
“It is by far the best lip plumper - it actually works, even after the color has rubbed off my lips (which takes quite a while, I might add). It doesn’t sting or hurt, it just feels a little tingly. The shine is great and so is the color!”
“You can feel your lips swelling when you first put it on. While it doesn’t hurt, if you’re sensation sensitive you might find it uncomfortable. It’s not irritating the lips like Venon though. Remember so you won’t be disappointed that there is not a drastic difference. I’m still mulling over whether to go for collagen injections. But if you want just a slightly fuller pout this is not a waste of money.”
Although City Lips claim to make your lips appear fuller without pain or burning sensation, it is not exactly true. Although some of us don’t feel the burning and irritation, others struggle with far from pleasant sensations. The City Lips formula have been renovated lately and costs $35 now.
The ad says:
“Unique Oligopeptide technology helps enhance collagen production which helps to increase lip volume and reduce lip lines. The one-of-a-kind ingredient Celadrol increases cell turnover, draws in healthy nutrients to retain moisture, and enhances natural lip color. You can feel CITY Lips start to work instantly with its fabulous pain-free tingle.”
The girls say:
“When I applied the gloss, I noticed a tingling sensation that quickly turned into slight pain. It felt a lot like Duwop Lip Venom. OuchIt made my eyes water a little. I was ready to take CITY Lips off! I left it on, though, and the stinging and tingling completely went away after about five minutes. It plumps my lips majorly with only one application, and the affect lasts approximately 40 minutes.”
“I really didn’t think it was doing anything, but continued to use it at night because it moisturizes my lips like no other. Then I went on a trip and forgot it. My lips definitely suffered for it. Came home and started using again and confirmed this definitely works to plump and smooth my lips. Without it my lips are thinner and lose color. With it they’re plumper and noticeably more pigmented.”
“I bought this stuff online and used it everyday according to directions. At first I didn’t notice much but a slight moisturizing effect. After about a week and a half, my lips started getting plumper, but unevenly! It was like I had lumps on my lips. They were also peeling and quite sore, so I stopped using it.”
While full, sensual lips are very sexy, it is important that they look natural. The world witnessed some horrible examples of foolish fashion victims. I hope no child sees these ladies; this could damage a child’s mentality forever. This is what happens when trends and idols become a bible.
Girls, let’s be fabulous!![]()

I’m surprised you didn’t include Urban Decay’s Big Fatty Limp plumper!
It’s seriously great- it gives you a noticeably plumper lip with a very sheer glossy pink tint that will mesh with anyone’s lips. It is fantastic for those with very sensitive lips who can’t handle the more painful formulas but still desire the same results.
If you haven’t tried it, give it a go! You will be impressed.

I would definitely recommend “Plump Potion” it shows immediate plumping after just 60 seconds, it lasts for quite a long time, just re-apply as needed and its a steal at just $10 bucks at walgreens.

For 2 years I’ve tried a lot of products that offered to “plump up” the lips. Let’s face it, most women wouldn’t mind having Angelina Jolie lips. Unfortunately, none of the products worked for me until now. I found online the lip plumping balms by Isabella Pelle and they work. They cost $12.00 for a multipack, and they ship 4 free worldwide. This site was recommended to me by my friend. Check out their site if you want plumper lips. Maria

PLUMP Fx is definitely this best lip plumper. I have looked forever for a lip plumper that actually works and spent lots of Frikkin money. I am so happy I found it.
